Email us at info@internal-arts-training.com

Please note that we carry our own liability insurance and we will provide the certificate at booking.

Participants who are new to Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan are welcome to join all workshops.
Our workshop program is modular and you may attend the workshops in any order – there is no previous experience required to attend.

For example, you may attend a Level 3 workshop without having first attended the Level 1 and the Level 2 workshops. Later, when you have taken the Level 1 and the Level 2 workshops, you will see how the principles recognized in these earlier levels inform and deepen your experience of Level 3.

Neigong is often called “Internal Kung Fu”. In this workshop we will work to recognize the “Macrocosmic” energy flow in the body and you will discover a simple and practical method to activate your nervous system, coordinate your muscles and integrate your connective tissue. As a result, every movement will begin to massage your body from the inside out. You will stimulate your circulation of, and increase your ability to feel, the natural cycle of energy in your body. As a result of this workshop, you will begin to experience every movement in a whole new way.

  • Aligning the Bones
  • Activating the Tissues
  • Condense-Expand
  • Absorb-Project
  • The Five Qualities of Movement Unification

Two Day Workshops: Zhong Xin Dao Curriculum

Pre-requisites: No previous experience is required to attend. This workshop is open to all participants.

  • Open/Close
  • Condense/Expand
  • Concave/Convex
  • Three Dimensional Planes

We will spend the first day exploring alignment and the primary energy of Absorb-Project in the Six Directions and the Three Dimensions with Basic Exercises 1-5. On the second day we will experience the energy of Condense-Expand, while looking at Basic Exercises 6-10. We will also review Basic Exercises 1-5 and look at practicing all ten exercises as a single training.

  3. Horizontal Plane
  4. Frontal Plane
  5. Sagittal Plane
Day 2:

  2. Condense & Expand
  3. Macrocosmic Orbit Flow
  4. Tu’na (condensed) Breathing
  5. North, East, South, West
Pre-requisites: No previous experience is required to attend. This workshop is open to all participants.

In our Level 2 workshop we will continue our exploration of the Five Qualities, Six Directions, and the Three Dimensions. We will take the coordinations experienced in the stationary exercises of Level 1, and practice maintaining them as we begin to step, kick and strike.

On the first day of the workshop we will look at the principle of Non-Resistance through Basic Exercise # 11: Concave-Convex. Next we will look at the Basic Exercise # 12: Hip Roll, as the foundation of all of our movement, and then we will learn to recognize the Hip Roll through the patterns of Basic Exercise # 13: Stepping.

On the second day we will review Basic Exercises 11-13, as well as introduce Basic Exercise # 14: Kicking, and Basic Exercise # 15: Throwing Hands. Throughout both exercises we will use the concepts to observe the principles in action.

If this is your first Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan workshop, you are welcome to join us! This workshop is designed as a stand-alone module and we will review the essential concepts from Level 1.

Day 1: Basic Exercises 11-13

Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan Level 3 introduces the “21 Form”. The Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan forms were designed as vehicles through which the student may learn to recognize and realize the principles of human movement.

The 21 Form teaches you to connect your body and to move in a smooth and continuous fashion. Whereas in the 15 Basic Exercises you learned to isolate and develop the Five Qualities to propel force in single planes of motion, in the 21 Form you learn to change gears – to practice the Five Qualities in different combinations and sequences throughout all three planes of motion. Also known as the “Fullness Form”, the 21 Form provides you the opportunity to recognize and manifest the Six Directions and the Three Dimensions.

If this is your first Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan workshop, you are welcome to join us! This workshop is designed as a stand-alone module and we will review the essential concepts from Levels 1 & 2.

Pre-requisites: All students are welcome to review the process, however in order to grade students must have attended previous workshops and/or ongoing classes, and have practiced the material for a minimum of three months to one year (depending upon the level being graded). Participants must grade each student Level in the order of 1, 2, and 3. Our grading workshops are designed for Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan schools, study groups, and distant students.

Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan’s teaching methodology is very precise as it guides students though each stage of development. The grading process is not a formality, it is part of the teaching process itself. The grading process is designed to assist you in clarifying what you need to look at for your level of development. Being certified for a particular Student Level does not mean that you have mastered the material, merely that you recognize how to do the exercise and what you should be paying attention to.

Day 1: We will review and troubleshoot the exam material, correcting any errors and reinforcing what students already know.

Day 2: We will run through the exam material once as a class and then, after a small break, we will begin the exam. Students will receive their grades the same day.

In addition to the physical elements of the exam, students will also be asked questions regarding Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan’s History, Philosophy, Concepts, and Principles.

Pre-requisites: No previous experience is required to attend. This workshop is open to all participants.

Zhong Xin Dao I Liq Chuan is based on Non-Resistance, however this can be challenging to manifest our practice.

In this workshop we will work with our Basic Exercises, both solo and with partners, to assist us in experiencing non-resistance.

We will explore the following concepts:

  • Attention
  • Movement vs Fighting
  • Relaxation and Alignment
  • Six Energies
  • Three Dimensions
  • 5-4-4-3

The workshop is open to participants of all levels and styles.
